It amazes me how hard it is to find information on what is going on in Baton Rouge. Really my primary source of figuring out anything is going on is
to listen to the radio in the mornings and sometimes pick up on an advertisement or two. They advertise but they do little for us web surfers but put up a page that
is poorly optimized so that I can't even find any information on this Third Street Throwdown party that I hear about on the radio. However after a little digging I remembered that
the city of Baton Rouge puts up a Baton Rouge Weekends Events page that they do a poor job of presenting to the
search engines. The title says nothing about weekend events and the third street throwdown party is a pdf. But I have to say AT LEAST Baton Rouge puts up news on weekend events around
downtown Baton Rouge and there is ALOT going on. People have no reason to complain about nothing going on in Baton Rouge.
The Advocate also keeps a great Calendar of whats going on in Baton Rouge. You may have to read through a bit of the noise but there are some gems lying there for you to pick up. I've found that some people don't realize its on the website and hard to find so I've listed it here for everyone to check out! This was a short article. Too long to put on my main Baton Rouge page so go look there if you found this page first. You might find something else to do. -Jerry Odom Feb. 10, 2006 |
