I'd bet most people in Baton Rouge didn't know we're home to a fast growing technology company that produces high tech computer components for companies such as Boeing, Exxon and Lockheed Martin just to name a few? But yes right here in Baton Rouge in the Industrial Plex there sits the corporate office of an international manufacturer and distributor of industrial monitors and computers.

Vartech has a wide range of high end LCD and computer products designed to fit extreme environments. This includes waterproof rust-proof stainless steel systems, sunlight readable LCDs for outdoor applications, marine displays, fully submersible units, Panel mount PCs, large screen 1080p Hi-Def LCDs, and more. They provide solutions for extreme light, shock and vibrations, extreme temperatures, extreme dust and dirt, areas that require a wash-down process, etc. They have several NASCAR pit crews using their contrast enhanced sunlight readable units. Most of Vartech's local clients would be chemical plants where they supply industrial grade LCDs with various mountings like panel or chassis, panel PCs, and embedded computers for process control applications. They also replace other manufacturer’s process control furniture with VarTech’s own compatible displays.

Its hard to believe our fair city is home to productions of such advanced tools but its there. The Anti-Reflection 47" 1080p True Hi-Definition LCDs with contrast are very cool looking and I'd love to see how those things are made. I bet it'd look cool in my garage!
