New brake Ford Parts for Lost Parts
Well I finally got the new brake parts installed on my 1969 Ford Mustang. New and shining brake rotors all greased up new and installed waiting for me to put on the rotors, hook up the brake lines and pump'em up. HOWEVER, I start looking around for my Ford master cylinder reservoir and my pre-bend brake lines but they're no where in site. I'm fairly sure the brake lines were long ago destroyed by my brother or father in one of their shop rampages but the master cylinder I had placed in a bucket with fluid so that it'd stay good for the day when I put the front of my car back together. That day has come and I have no master cylinder. Actually I don't even have the bucket anymore and nobody knows anything about it. The part simply walked off!!! Categorize and store your car parts Especially if you share an auto shop like me. Things come and go from our garage so quickly and the only thing that hasn't moved is my Mustang simply because it has no front wheels at the moment and can't be moved! Put your parts in new containers and mark them specifically with a marker. Otherwise you'll be like me and buying a new master cylinder complete with reservoir for $40 and a set of new pre-bent front brake lines for around $60 with the shipping costs. At least my Mustang will have a brand new Ford Master Cylinder and good looking new lines but thats $100 worth of parts that were simply lost. |
