This is my archive for the first half of 2005. Mostly b.s. about Texas hold'em poker or useless boredom. - Jerry Wayne Odom Jr. |
July 2005 What the hell happened to June? Usually at least once a month I find a little time to scratch down here whats been going on but apparently June was too damn busy. I was out of town for a week for a Search Engine conference in New Orleans. I've also been playing alot of poker in the evenings doing quite well. I suppose between all that and working out I've been busy. I have worked here and there on the back sections of this website though. May 2005 Well I've still been playing poker for the last month. Once a week roughly and I've won about $600 total. Its fun and pays me instead of costing me so I'm loving it as a hobby. I've still been working on that site. Its tough as I usually only work on it an hour a week tops. Hard to touch that stuff when you work on computers for a living. After work I don't want to see a computer. Congratulations to all you May 2005 LSU graduates of which several are my friends. April 2005 Man I love April! Its been a great month so far already. My old man decided he would finally clean all the shit out of his garage so now I can continue working on my Mustang project. I got out there over the weekend and framed up the shock tower brackets so I can get them bolted on this weekend and clean up the final remaining front end damage. After that we go back together with the front suspension and put wheels back on the old car. Damn right I'm happy about that after nearing 10 years. I've been playing Hold'em poker at the casino as almost a second job lately. I win probably 5 out of 6 trips and when I lose its just a small amount. I've probably been making on average about $200 per week for the last 2 weeks since I started doing this. I played 2-3 times each week. I'm also building a website for my friends at Gameworx. A relatively easy task compared to what I do for a living but it'll be appreciated and help promote my friend Joey's business. I really want him to succeed. March 2005 I think its time to redesign the sub sections of this site since I treat them as individual sites. Other than that, college basketball and crawfish season kicking up March is sort of boring thus far. February 2005 Lots to do in February. The Poker room opened up at the Argosy casino so you can go play poker pretty much ANY time you want now days. Mardi Gras is upon us and there will be the usual range of parties and madness to attend which always get me in trouble for sleeping too late the next week. I've added on to my Warhammer 40k section a bit due to a recent league being started at my friends game shop. I'll of course be running my Orks in a strange new army though most anyone reading this page probably thinks the game is strange in general so I suppose thats a moot point. My sister graduated from college in December. I forgot to mention that earlier but it didn't seem important at the time. Thinking back on it I realize that my out of state family reads this so they might be interested. Congratulations Gina. Doesn't change the fact that you and Lauren are a couple of Lez. So anyway It turns out that today(February 10th) that I have some girl from Michigan hot linking to one of the pictures on my Mustang page from her myspace blog. For those of you unaware, hot linking is when you link to an image on another persons website. Not a federal crime or anything but it leaves you vulnerable to whenever they remove (or in this case) alter the image. Being unable to resist a little fun I edited the picture and reposted it as seen here. A subtle change to see how long she leaves it there before noticing the upgrade. You have to blow the picture up to its full dimensions to be able to really notice the change I made because Explorer likes to shirk the screenshot I took. I only noticed the hot link because I had about 30 hits a day from myspace. Here is the page. January 2005 Happy New Year everyone. 2005 has brought all sorts of changes at home and abroad. From the Tsunami in the Indian ocean to Les Miles being hired as head coach of the LSU Tigers. I suppose I should throw a slogan out there for when and if Les is successful. L "Les" U |
