I wrote previously on my website about how I don't understand why more
people in Baton Rouge don't pack the P-mac to watch our LSU basketball teams
play each year in the first quarter of the year. The LSU men and women
underscored that at the end of this year by both winning the SEC title.
Congratulations to our teams and congratulations to their coaches for a job
well done.
Goodbye Seimone Augustus I'm going to miss watching her play for the Tigers as she's one of the reasons I started tuning in to LSU women's basketball. Augustus is a phenomenal player and has done so much to elevate the LSU women to another level in popularity here in Baton Rouge. Deservingly so she's the SEC player of the year. I hope she does well in whatever she does after this year and I'm sure it'll be the WNBA. I haven't forgotten the rest of the LSU Womens Basketball team Those girls absolutely ruled womens basketball this year. They've beaten up on Baylor, taken out Tennessee at home for the first time ever and nobody is suprised because winning is what the LSU womens basketball team does. There's not a single weak point on our womens team and I fully expect them to make it to at least the final four in the 2006 NCAA Womens basketball tournament. |

This team is action packed and set to be absolutely huge next year being
that they start 3 freshmen and a sophmore. The only senior on the team is D.
Mitchell! This Saturday we say goodbye to 1 senior! Hopefully they'll get
healthy and go far in the tournament but thats all icing on the cake to me
after an outstanding SEC season. Maybe LSU fans will cut Coach Brady a
little more slack now.(doubt it)
