I've had a few people ask if I've still been working on my Mustang. I
haven't posted in months largely in part to having to build a shop, get my
fiance's furniture out of my shop and just life in general. Lots of that has
come circle and I've been making a deal of progress on preparing my floors
for panels and bringing my engine parts to the house to move to that step.
Here's my plan.
Repair Floors and Cowl I still haven't addressed that pesky cowl but I've cleaned out the area in anticipation of taking that next step. I've also completely removed my interior and cleaned out the floors. I've now calculated that I'll need to buy all four floors and fabricate some sort of cowl patch. A big part of not addressing this yet is that I had no welder. Purchased a Lincoln Electric 3200HD Welder I picked up a high quality MIG welder to do this work. This little welder has high ratings and will be used to repair my panels. Engine Identified And Slated For Rebuild I found the engine casting numbers on the block an heads that identify my parts as being built in late 1969.(C90E) I finally brought the engine to my home with the new shop crane I purchased from Harbor Freight. I got it at a great deal. The plan is to bring the engine for rebuild once I've repaired everything in front of the quarter panels. Below are some pictures I took with the new Olympus digital camera Michelle purchased me for Christmas.(I love her) My camera had broken and prevented me from sharing on my websites. Everyone wish me luck and happy new year! Hopefully I'll be driving next Christmas since I can at least push it around this Christmas Jerry Wayne Odom Jr. - December 2007 |
